Wolfberger 2012 Pinot Gris

Variety: Pinot Gris
Region: Alsace
Vintage:  2012
Colour: Silver Yellow
Alcohol: 13.0%
Bouquet: Very ripe pineapple and grapefruit in the nose
Flavour: Medium bodied with residual sugar on the mid palate. Lime and apple strudel flavours with a pleasant mineral finish.
Points: 85 (3+7+11+7+7+50)
Notes: Similar to Tesco's Finest, one of the large supermarket chains here does a "Chalkboard Series" where they have one typical example of a number of wines. This Pinot Gris is heavier than the typical locally made style. Not overly complex but a very good drink at a reasonable price $18 ~ 350Kc
