Varieties: Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cot and Gamay (split unknown although should be mostly Cabernet Franc)
Region: Touraine-Amboise AOC
Vintage: 2010
Closure: Cork
Colour: Red-purple
Alcohol: 12.5%
Bouquet: Gravel, pepper, smoke and a hint of plum
Flavour: Largely according to the nose. Medium body but the excellent acidity stands out. Not much in the way of tannin although good dryness throughout
Points: 87 (3+7+12+7+8+50)
Notes: A friend brought this from a trip to France earlier this year. When tasting today I thought it might be Syrah but checking now proves it to be Cab Franc. Very enjoyable.
