Gartelmann 2010 Phillip Alexander

Varieties: Merlot, Shiraz, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon
Region/G.I.: Hunter Valley, Hunter, Pokolbin
Vintage: 2014
Closure: Screwcap
Alcohol: 13.5%
Colour: Cherry-purple
Bouquet: Sour cherry, plum and some bark
Flavour: Soft, sour cherry and plum, dense flavours. Some earthiness in the background. Medium body and length although almost no tannin.
Points: 82 (3+6+10.5+6.5+6+50)
Notes:  Possibly not worth holding for 5 years. It lacked tannin so although the flavour profile was fine, it lacked oomph. Bottle description mentions tannins so maybe when young it was different. Bought through a wine club for $15.81~284 in 2011.
