General: A cold dark day was the perfect excuse to try the first from my recent case of Italian winesVariety: Primitivo

Alcohol: 13.5%
Bouquet: Mostly wet-barn (soaked wood and some animal tones)
Flavour: Unlike the bouquet, the flavour had fruit flavours. Although a dry wine, it had sweet raspberry and red berry flavours with some savoury spice. The tannins were surprisingly mild given its young age.
