Mansfield 2013 Firetail

Varieties: Grenache 45%, Shiraz 40% and Monastrell 15%
Region/G.I.: Central Ranges, Mudgee
Vintage: 2015
Closure: Cork
Alcohol: 13.0%
Colour: ruby

Bouquet: plum and some savoury, tobacco leaf aromas
Flavour: fruity, some acidity keeping it tight and some pepper, tobacco leaf and some earthy flavours. Big and flavoursome.
Points: 87 (3+7+12+7+8+50)
Notes: I enjoyed and rated it second of our four. The group, however, did not appreciate the savoury flavours as much as me and ranked it last of the four
